Two players from Stockbridge signed football scholarships on Wednesday.
Linebacker Tim Lawrence signed with Furman, and wide receiver Kevin Burke signed with Tusculum.
“It means a lot to our program, and it’s a testament of what we are trying to do to get these kids to the next level,” coach Jake Monden said.
Monden described Lawrence as an emotional and physical leader on and off the field. Burke he called “a raw talent.”
“They both put in a lot of hard work, and it has obviously payed off,” he said.
