Southern Cal opens signing day business

Safety Byron Moore wasn’t the first new Trojan on campus — that distinction belonged to early enrollee Matt Barkley, the nation’s top-rated quarterback — but he was the first signing day signee for USC.

Moore, the sixth-rated safety according to Scout.com. Moore, from Nathaniel Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Calif., is part of a class rated in the top five by both Scout and Rivals.
