Why would a receive go to OSU to have that rag-arm Terrell Pryor throw to him?

Bad day for UGA Recruiting…..

Would have been nice but I doubt any UGA fan really thought we had a shot at him. I thought UT would get him.

Georgia striking out? I would think that Tennessee is striking out more than we are considering he is from Tennessee…

He’s going to regret that decision when another SEC school gives Ohio State their annual beatdown.

Haven’t seen confirmation on this. J. Newberg said it’s unfounded. BTW, no matter what happens with any of the undecided recruits, calling this a “bad day” for UGA recruiting is ridiculous. Too much stock is put into the guys that hold out til the end, not enough stock is put into the guys that commit early and stick to their commitment. You can’t seriously look at the list of kids that already signed and think anything other than this is another great class.

Hey David, Fletch, and RFP,

Sure, the SEC is a better conference than the Big 10, but why would he want to go to UGA? When’s the last time you guys put any receiver worth a darn in the NFL?

tOSU has been supplying professional caliber receivers (players period) for years…

*Hey Bucknut, in regard to your question “When’s the last time you guys put any receiver worth a darn in the NFL?” well in case you missed the Superbowl, Hines Ward was playing for the Steelers and Leonard Pope was playing for the Cardinals, both former GA receivers. Did that adequately address your question? If not, check out ESPN and see which SEC school (best conference) is most likely to have players drafted in the NFL? Yep you guessed it, UGA!! Nuff said…. *

Bucknut - Does a Super Bowl MVP receiver count as a “receiver worth a damn” to use your intellectual phraseology? Based upon this observation of your football knowledge may I suggest you remove the Buck from your monicker and just leave it as “nut’?

Adam - I must say I am also impressed with your command of the English language. However, I am more impressed with your maturity and obvious class as a fellow human being. Do you credit your education at OSU? Having several friends who actually graduated from OSU, I’m reasonably sure you have not done so.

Whatever decision Marlon makes, good luck to him. There is too much pressure being placed on these kids on what is a life changing decision for many of them. Perhaps this young man is guided by more than what a particular school can do for him from an athletic standpoint and looks at the entire picture. He supposedly established a relationship with TP and that may mean more to him than anything else when it comes to a comfort level for his decision. Georgia’s 2009 recruiting class is great and we have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming years! Let’s hope that CWM remembers how to coach a defense!

GO DAWGS!!!

BuckIdiot, How about Reggie Brown, Fred Gibson, Verron Haynes, Andre Hastings, Hines Ward, and Brice Hunter, just to name a few off the top of my head. Know a little about UGA football before you post such garbage!

To Reality Hurts - I’m not sure “nut” even knows who played in the Super Bowl. In fact, he may still be planning his SB party. You have given him information any football fan already knows. I think this is trying to educate someone who may not be educable. He’s obviously not the sharpest knife in the set.

Hey Bucknut, have you ever heard of Reggie Brown, Fred Gibson, Verron Haynes, Hines Ward, Andre Hastings, Brice Hunter, or Leonard Pope. Those are just the ones I thought of off the top of my head. I’m sure there are more but I think I’ve made my point. Learn a little about UGA football before you make an even bigger idiot out of yourself.

To the ignorant fool who questioned what good receivers OSU has ever put in the NFL

Michael Jenkins - Atlanta Anthony Gonzalez - Indy Teddy Ginn - Miami Santonio Holmes - Pitts Super Bowl MVP Joey Galloway Terry Glenn Chris Carter - Soon to be Hall of Fame inductee David Boston Drew Carter - Carolina (injuries cost him) Bam Childress - New England

By the way the big 10 had 22 players on the two Super Bowl teams. The SEC had 14

Preston - I’m positive that “nut” can not possibly make a bigger idiot out of himself. I think he has reached the pinnacle when it comes to being an idiot. I’m also reasonably sure this may be his biggest, perhaps only, accomplishment in life. Everybody has a gift.

To Craig - We don’t kiss our sisters in the south. However, we do tend to win football games whenever we play a team from the big 11. Now, I’m not sure whether winning all those games is because we’re smarter, better at football, or your players are hung up on kissing their sisters, apparently a northern thing ( I’m assuming that because you brought it up). Why don’t you go over to “nut’s” place this weekend for the SB party he’s having where ya’ll can count the number of players from the big 11 and the SEC in the game? NOTE: You’ll have to do the counting, I don’t think fellow OSU alum “nut” ever took “counting” at OSU (at least I’m pretty sure he never passed it - probably distracted by thinking about kissing his sister).

I managed to catch the Superbowl. I saw an OSU receiver win the MVP…if I am not mistaken. “Nuff said” as you mentioned.

I already counted and posted the results but apparently you can’t read.

BIG 10 22 players SEC 14 players

Furthermore the SEC and BIG 10 are about even in head to head match ups over the past 10 years. I would also say that the last 6 years have been down years for the BIG 10 so I’m not sure how you are going to spin that into some sort of SEC dominace garbble that seems to spew from the back woods.

By the way I do live in TN and I’ve seen plenty of imbreed hicks.

ROFL!!!! Inbred hicks… I’ve been to Ohio on numerous occasions & am confident in saying that there are just as many hicks there as there are in the south. Oh, & the best thing that has ever come out of that dreadful state is I-75 south.

By Dawg Tired

February 4, 2009 3:24 PM | Link to this

Now Craig, I’m disappointed that you don’t appreciate southern humor. I’m so sorry such a cultured Yankee as yourself has to live with plenty of “imbreed” (your spelling which I’m assuming is correct since you are obviously intellectually superior to anyone from the backwoods, being as you are able to read so much better than those of us so unfortunate not be educated with folks like you) hicks. Bt the way, I’m sure those “imbreed” hicks you have to put up with are very pleased that you have moved south to enlighten them, you know, like counting to 22 and such. You must have been a math major at OSU.

Have you talked to “nut” about getting together for his SB party this weekend? I know ya’ll could have so much fun. Why not invite fellow buckeye fan Schwall. His English certainly demonstrates the superiority of his up north education. Actually, Schwall might be a better example of what happens when inbreeding (my spelling which you are welcome to correct in light of your superiority and all) occurs.

Hope ya’ll have fun! By the way, are ya’ll’s sisters going to be there? Perhaps you could enlighten us “imbreed” hicks on this northern sister kissing thing.

Hope you enjoy kissing your sister as much as I’m enjoying this blog!

Sounds good maybe we can bust out the 4 wheelers and turf up some farmers field during the pre-game. Hell I might even wash my truck with my camo pants and a wife beater on…..it might could be fuuuun.

Hey..Schwall don’t furgit to stock up on every form of fried food and mountain dew. We are gonna have some kinda party.

On a more serious note I am still waiting for the genius to prove me wrong about the big 10 had 22 players on the two Super Bowl teams. The SEC had 14.

or the joker who claimed OSU never put any good receivers in the NFL - Michael Jenkins - Atlanta Anthony Gonzalez - Indy Teddy Ginn - Miami Santonio Holmes - Pitts Super Bowl MVP Joey Galloway Terry Glenn Chris Carter - Soon to be Hall of Fame inductee David Boston Drew Carter - Carolina (injuries cost him) Bam Childress - New England

or the fact that the SEC and BIG 10 are close to even on head to head match ups over the last 10 years.

BTW UGA fans - nice game verses Michigan State I think OSU beat them 45 - 7
