Oregon crosses U.S. border for linebacker

Oregon clearly had an out-of-state emphasis with its recruiting, but the Ducks didn’t stop there, crossing the U.S.-Canada border to bolster its linebacking corps.

Boseko Lokombo, a 6-3, 226-pound linebacker for W.J. Mouat Secondary school in Abbotsford, B.C., was the top Canadian player according to Superprep Magazine. He made 47 tackles with four interceptions in his senior year. According to the Oregon website, he also rushed for 1,556 yards on 107 carries and caught 37 passes for 728 yards his senior season.
