Norcross: With 10 signees, reputation in tact

Bolstering its reputation for great athletes, Norcross sent 10 kids to play at the next level, highlighted by four Division 1 signees - DB Prince Kent to Miami, RB D.J. Adams to Maryland, DT Wesley Hollingshed to Nevada and DE Matt Autry to South Alabama.
Marquis Lovett, Danal Slay, Charles King, Antoinne Jones, Steven Smith and Taylor Weaver also will sign scholarships at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony at the school. At least eight players earned scholarships last year, coach Keith Maloof said.
“It means these kids are doing what they need to do to be able to play at that level,” Maloof said. “A lot of times you can put a highlight tape together on pure athletic ability and they’re showing that they can do it both on and off the field at that level.”

Sad that Maloof doesn’t get more out of all this talent, seems like they underachieve each year. No reason with all that talent they shouldn’t make a run at state every year.

No…………. its not sad its a damn shame how him and his coaching staff couldn’t get more out of those kids. You don’t put kids in a system you build a system aroud kids. I believe they get caught up in all those coaching ceminars or camps on how to practice. they play just like the practice .(soft). He don’t know how to win the big game.
