Newnan: 10 to play at the next level

Ten players from Newnan High School signed football scholarships highlighted by offensive lineman Ray Beno sticking with his commitment to Georgia Tech.

Wide Receiver Alan Bonner chose Jacksonville State over Alabama-Birmingham.

The signees include: Beno (Tech), Durlandis Hill (Tennessee-Chattanooga), Kendreas Wynn (Fort Valley State), Adam Calhoun (Alabama State), Josh Buchanan (West Alabama), cousins Dustin Russell and Laland Russell (Savannah State), Antwon Johnson (West Georgia) and Braland Geter (Minnesota-Crochston).

“It’s an exciting day for Newnan High School,” coach Mike McDonald said. “We have a very talented senior class, and we are excited to watch them play at the next level.”

Great job coach.10 getting scholarships is pretty impressive.I especially look forward to having Beno at Tech.Congratulations.
