Mt. Zion-Jonesboro wide receiver Drexel Copeland will sign with Georgia Southern. He is the school’s only football signee this season.
“He developed an excellent relationship with the coaches and they liked how he made plays on the ball,” coach Jarrett Laws said. “They would call him week-in and week-out to see how he did on his exams. I can tell there is going to be a family relationship.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior was considering Youngstown State, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.
