Wheeler’s Klemm changes to Maryland

In a surprise, Wheeler offensive tackle Nick Klemm (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) signed today with Maryland after seemingly being bound for Boston College.

“It was a somewhat a last-minute decision for him, but it had been coming on for quite a while,” Wheeler coach Tom Flugum said. “It really came down to the fact that a lot of Boston College’s coaching staff moved on recently. He just felt better with Maryland in the end.”

Boston College fired head coach Jeff Jagodzinski a month ago after interviewing for a New York Jets job he did not get. Frank Spaziani took over as the headman after serving as the Eagles’ defensive coordinator.
