Hurricanes lock up high school teammates

Seminole High School (FL) teammates Ray Ray Armstrong and Dyron Dye both signed at the same time Wednesday, according to hurricanesports.com. The signings will help strengthen a defense that finished in the top-30 in total defense in 2008.

Armstrong, a 6-4, 218-pound safety, is Rivals.com’s No. 13 overall prospect, while Dye, a 6-4, 215-pound defensive end, is Rivals’ No. 8 defensive end.

“Ray Ray is, in the 21 years I’ve been coaching, he is probably got one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen; he does not like to lose,” Seminole coach Mike Cullison said.
