Gators adding depth at linebacker with Jenkins

Florida has added the No. 1 outside linebacking prospect to its No. 1 ranking. Maryland linebacker Jelani Jenkins selected the Gators Wednesday morning.

Jenkins is the top-ranked OLB prospect in the nation, according to Rivals.com. The 6-foot-2, 220 pounder chose UF over Penn State. He last clocked a 4.45 forty time.

Jenkins makes the 15th Florida signee in what should be a relatively small recruiting class for the Gators, who weren’t expecting to have a big group of incoming freshmen.
