The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Roderick Sweeting, of Luella High, signed with Georgia Tech today to play cornerback. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.
Why he likes Tech: “I picked Georgia Tech because it’s not far from home and it’s a good place to get an education. I love the coaches and the fans. And Atlanta is a good atmosphere. I want to win a national championship. I want to put Georgia Tech on the map. I would like to play as a freshman. The coaches are telling me I have a chance. I’ll work hard to do that.”

Congratulations Roderick! Welcome to Georgia Tech! It’s great to have you join the Jackets and bring that positive mindset and your goals to the Flats. You’ll never regret your choice and sounds like GT made a good choice, too. Again, welcome.
