Orwin Smith, of Phenix City High (Ala.), signed with Georgia Tech today to play running back. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.
Why he likes Tech: “I can’t wait to get to Georgia Tech and Atlanta. There’s just such a great environment there. I see the program at Georgia Tech moving forward. I want to graduate. And I would like to contend for a national title and have an overall great career. I think I have a good chance of playing as a freshman. They will decide after summer training. I’m looking forward to it.”
