Meet David Sims — Georgia Tech athlete signee, Class of ‘09

David Sims, of Calhoun County High (S.C.), signed with Georgia Tech today as an athlete. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.

Why he likes Tech: “I picked Georgia Tech because I felt it was the right fit for my talents. I think I can achieve everything I want while I’m there. My goals are to try to win a few national championships and compete for the Heisman Trophy.”

I love how these recruits aren’t afraid of stating their aspirations and goals. Their attitude fits right in with Johnson’s goal setting approach.

It’s always good to see an athlete from the T and D region get an opportunity to play on the national seen, especially here in Atlanta. He is a pretty good quarterback in high school and I know he will do well at Tech’s at whatever position he plays. Hopefully he’ll come in and have an impact similiar to what A.J. Green, another South Carolina guy, had down the road at UGA. Even though he went to Calhoun County I still wish him luck……GO HOLLY HILL-ROBERTS BULLDOGS!!!!!!!!
