Stephen Hill, of Miller Grove High, signed with Georgia Tech today to play wide receiver. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.
See Stephen slam dunk: Hill is a three-sport athlete (football, track and basketball) and is among the select few metro Atlanta hoopsters chosen to compete in the annual AJC.com Slam Dunk Contest, where the jams are so sweet you’ll beg for seconds. You can vote for Stephen through Feb. 28.

Why he likes Tech: “I’m coming up there looking for a great experience. I plan to work hard and give the Tech fans something to look at. I really like the atmosphere, the academics and the coaches. I plan on getting my degree and becoming one of the best wide receivers in the school’s history.”

“becoming one of the best wide receivers in the school’s history” That’s some big talk, Stephen. I’ll be watching to see if you can back that up on the field. Congrats!

Hey Stephen congratulations on your decision to pick a school that runs the triple option. Now you can count how many career collegiate receptions you will have on one hand. Hope you enjoy blocking.

good choice stephen now you will actually be able to play for four years as a reciever. Get ready to catch the ball and enjoy the single coverage that PJ’s offense will provide. You can become the new Calvin.
GO Jackets!

UGA is 7-1 since hiring Mark Richt against tech. Georgia is a top program when it comes to putting players in the NFL. Former Dawg Hines Ward has two super bowl rings and a super bowl MVP.. good choice Hill? Well, we got Marlon so I guess we still came out on top.. enjoy your time with the nerds, good luck! haha

Hey Stephen,
The mentally challenged UGA fan seems to overlook the fact that Paul Johnson’s GT is 1-0 against UGA and that Mark Richt is 0-1 against Johnson’s Jackets. And despite having the good fortune of playing for a better NFL team, Hines Ward can’t hold Calvin Johnson’s jock. We’ll also see what Mr. Marlon is all about when he stops playing against midget private schoolers in small time Memphis football. Watch the youtube highlights of Marlon and anybody’s grandma could play big against the sorry competition he faced..

It’s pretty disrespectful to post stupid immature comments about a good guy like Stephen, just because he didn’t go to your college of choice. How pathetic! Good luck to you Stephen. Your goals are lofty and its beneficial to have high expectations. I wish you the best to meet them all.

Congrat. Hill. Make us proud. I always knew you had it in you. I know your parents are really proud of you. I wish you the best of blessings. May God gives you all your heart desires. You deserve it cause you have been a good son! Keep your parents proud. Good to see someone right from the community. I still remember when you were just in little league running, running, running. Now I say to you RUN, HILL, RUN

Please know that not all UGA fans are morons. You guys picked up a good one and I hope that he has a great career (except in the last game of each regular season).
