The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Daniel Drummond, of Flowery Branch High, signed with Georgia Tech today to play running back. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.
Why he likes Tech: “I chose Georgia Tech because it’s close to home and just a perfect opportunity for me. Coach Paul Johnson is a great man. It’s a great school and I’m looking forward to the education I’ll receive there. I eventually want to be a starter and work to help us win a national championship. At the very least, I want to win an ACC championship.”

My kids graduated from The Branch, and I graduated from Tech, so I am thrilled to have both you and Izaan joining the Jackets for next phase of your football (and educational) careers. Having the two of you join Jaybo (and hopefully Connor next season) will make football on the Flats as enjoyable as Football at the Branch. Congratulations!
