Meet Julian Burnett — Georgia Tech linebacker signee, Class of ‘09

Julian Burnett, of Westside-Macon High, signed with Georgia Tech today to play linebacker. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.

Why he likes Tech: “I felt like Georgia Tech was a good fit for me. It was the first school I actually thought about going to when I was a freshman. It was the first school I visited. And it puts me in a good position to be close to family. Of course, I would like to come in and play. But I’ll contribute to my team, even if it’s on the practice team as a freshman to get the starters ready. Most of all, the biggest accomplishment would be to earn a degree from Georgia Tech.”

I know what academics are like at Westside, so I hope Tech assigned you your own personal tutor, your gonna need it. Or maybe you’ll get the Calvin Johnson treatment. Either way, you picked the wrong school, loser.
