Meet Raymond Beno — Georgia Tech offensive tackle signee, Class of ‘09

Raymond Beno, of Newnan High, signed with Georgia Tech today to play offensive tackle. Here’s a little bit more about this new Jacket in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to The Flats with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.

Why he likes Tech: “I chose Georgia Tech for the great education and for their great athletic program. They’re always competitive in football and they have a great head coach in coach Paul Johnson and all of his assistant coaches. I hope to get a degree from Georgia Tech. I’d love to win ACC championships, and possibly, a national championship while I’m there. Definitely for me, one of my goals is starting as a freshman and from there achieving team goals.”

Can’t wait for you to get up here and block for that T.O. But next time you visit me you’re sleeping on the couch. And you still owe me like 5 bucks.

Raymond, Good luck with your choice in GA Tech. I will be watching you even though you didn’t chose the Dawg’s. I am pround of your accomplishments in life and you will do Tech proud I’m sure. All my friends are jealous that my nephew plays college ball.
