Fayette County defensive tackle Malcolm Reed signed with South Carolina State on Wednesday.
“He played nose tackle for us and he has good hands and good technique,” coach Tommy Webb said.
Webb said the 6-foot-2, 245-pound senior was also considering Jacksonville State.
“He visited both schools, and when he combined the facilities, coaches and staff he liked it better at South Carolina State,” he said. “It was a good fit for him.”
