Father provides guiding hand for Cross

Growing up as the son of an NFL player could come with some great expectations, but Chattahoochee quarterback Brendan Cross said he never felt any pressures from his father, former San Francisco 49er Randy Cross.

“Being around the game my whole life has given me a good appreciation of it, and having my dad to lean on has been a great help,” said the younger Cross, who signed with Wake Forest.

“I declared on the spot with Wake Forest, and I couldn’t think of any place better to spend the next four years,” he said.
