Both Georgia and Georgia Tech celebrated at Valdosta High

It’s very rare when Georgia and Georgia Tech are celebrated at the same school on signing day.

Valdosta High has linebacker Mike Gilliard headed to Georgia, while offensive lineman Antonio Foster is bound for Georgia Tech.

“I think there will be more people wearing Georgia colors than Georgia Tech at [the signing ceremony] … I’m pretty sure of that,” Gilliard said.

The two have been friends since kindergarten, and Gilliard said Foster constantly teases him about the future rivalry. “He’s always saying ‘45-42, 45-42, 45-42 … the score of last year’s game won by Georgia Tech. Then I just remind him that Georgia won the previous seven years.”
