It was a busy day at Banneker where 11 players signed scholarships.
Running back Alfred Moreland and linebacker Milton Patterson will attend Jackson State; Thaddeus Winston chose Morehead State; offensive lineman Randall Fowler chose Mars Hill; defensive back Curtis Gandy signed with Virginia Union, and quarterback Justin Haggins will attend Stillman.
Five other players signed with Ventura JC in California — Damien Walker, Elliot Wideman, Lionel Randell, Kwazell Harris and Devin Haslam.
“These guys, I will miss them dearly,” said coach Ed Gosa. “This is my first senior class and these kids really played hard for us and did well. I’m really proud of all of them.”
