College decision by Jarvis Jones could happen “at any time”

There’s no real time frame for the college decision of Carver-Columbus linebacker Jarvis Jones, according to his coach.

“Jarvis is his own person, and he’s going to make his decision whenever he feels like it’s the right time,” Carver coach Dell McGee said.

“It could be after he gets back from LSU on Sunday. He might need another day to think about everything, and then decide on Monday. Or he could wait until signing day [Wednesday] and choose then.”

Jones appears to be favoring Florida, although he claims no favorites. He is considering Florida, Southern Cal, Georgia, Texas and LSU.

Would love to watch this kid play his years at UGA.

As much as I’d love to see him at Georgia I don’t think it will happen. He seems to really want to go out of state and I think he’s going to Florida but wouldn’t be surprised to see him at USC.

Shame on him for not representing his home state. UGA is a great program and he should stay in state with the DAWG POUND!!! GO DAWGS!!!!

Go to FLA, and be forgotten! Come to UGA, win a starting spot, and become a giant in your state.

Yeah he really should go to Georgia. Not sure why he’s leaning towards UF.

It’s funny that absolutely no one is giving Texas a shot in this thing.

Insider told me it’s Texas and Jarvis is sure it’s the right decision.

I think it’s Texas or UF I hate to say…If it were UGA he would have already committed.

Jarvis would be so awesome at UGA. I live about a mile away from him. I should send him some pizza tonight with a note.

I agree that he is probably going out of state. If he was to look at his long term possibilities he could be a legend if he stayed in state at UGA and played to his potential.Out of state and when he graduates or leaves early those schools will forget about him. Being a Georgia boy he would be able to go back to Athens for years from Columbus like all the others that live in the area.Hopefully his coaches and advisers will help him look at the long term. If not we wish him the best for his career.
