North Gwinnett junior to visit Alabama and Auburn

North Gwinnett junior offensive tackle Austin Shepherd will visit Alabama, Auburn and Florida State for Junior Day this weekend.

The 6-5, 315-pound Shepherd doesn’t have any offers, but is also drawing interest from Michigan State, Central Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Clemson.

Shepherd and his parents will stop at Alabama and Auburn on Friday before traveling to Tallahassee on Saturday. It’s early in the process, but Shepherd said location will factor in his decision.

“I want to stay down around home so I’ll probably go SEC or ACC,” he said.

This is a great kid from a great family, I wish him the best of luck. He will be a gem for the program that gets him.
