Mt. Zion-Jonesboro wide receiver Drexel Copeland committed to Georgia Southern.
“I had been talking to the coaches and I have a chance to go in and play right away,” the 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior said. “The school has good academics and I’m still close to home.”
Copeland is still planning on making an official visit to the Statesboro campus next weekend. Copeland had an offer from Youngstown State.
