Florida DB commits to Georgia Tech
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Georgia Tech picked up the 21st commitment of its 2009 recruiting class on Sunday when defensive back Carl Miles of Cypress Bay High in Weston, Fla. committed to the Jackets.
“I love it up here,” Miles said. “The whole program is great, and I really like the academics.
“The coaches are nice people and good to be around.”
Miles made Tech coach Paul Johnson aware of his decision during an official visit.
“The vibe was just right,” said Miles, who has been told he’ll play cornerback for the Jackets.
He chose Tech over Kansas State, Tennessee, Troy and Vanderbilt

So where is the rapist going to play next year?
Poor Carl isn’t fully aware of how ridiculous the Yech program has sunk. Allowing drug Lords and rapists to play. Cracker Jack rings and making sure the Chick-fil-a Bowl was the worst in its history. Poor Carl. He’ll soon learn the lesson, Lol!!!

First let me say I put my real name on here cause i am big boy and dont have to hide behind a name like realityyech. For everyone who is miss informed jarad terrant was kicked off the team as soon as cpj got news of the charge. Second of all no GA fan needs to talk about thugs most unsportsman like pen. in the nation this year. And for the record this was UGA best chance to beat CPJ. CMR VS CPJ while CPJ is at GT 0for 1 so lets remeber the last 7 years were under a different coach and quit talking about LSU blasting us yall didnt and wont for a while no defense no qb and no rb equals no job for CMR in about 3 years. So continue to get 4 and 5 star recruits we will get our 2 3 4 stars and pitch right for 80 yards. yall have fun talking about how good joe cocks is going to be and realize you couldnt beat CPJ at your place with two top 10 draft picks so good luck to yall

Somebody needs to knock realiy Yeck through a wall. Your life is so pitiful who have nothing to do except sit at your mama’s computer and wait for the AJC to post something about Tech. Why don’t you blog on the UGA site? You are obviously someone who is seriously mentally disturbed. Perhaps you should seek the treatment of a mental hospital.

As a UGA fan, I like the good natured ribbing and jokes (I think the tickle pile thing is hilarious) that characterize our rivalry.
However, the poster above is so rude and vile it is embarrassing to me. In every group of people there are bad apples. Put one in front of a computer, and you get some really ugly material.
That said, Goooooooooo Dawgs! Sic ‘em! Woof! Woof! Woof!

At least we get a recruit that talks about academics, as oppose to “I will only get a one game suspension if I go to jail.”
Congrats CPJ, see you on the flats.

Many have posted here about the Satin Sabin. Well here is another tidbit showing his true unethical colors. I remember a blurb about UT’s Kiffin even urging his recruits to take visits to other schools. Once a jerk always a jerk I suppose!
Saban tells McCarron not to visit UT

QB McCarron decides against visit Melrose’s King enjoying attention, visiting Miami Share and Enjoy
Alabama coach Nick Saban seems to have a personal vendetta against Tennessee, which hired away Lance Thompson, his ace recruiter. Saban is reportedly telling prospects not to visit UT.
“(Saban) said he preferred I didn’t go to Tennessee for obvious reasons,” quarterback A.J. McCarron told BamaOnline.com. “He said he didn’t think it would look right and that he wasn’t comfortable with it. I told him I wouldn’t.
“He knows I’m going to Alabama, and he even told me if I want to visit Oklahoma, that’s fine because they aren’t an SEC rival.”
Another Alabama prospect, Pensacola, Fla., tailback Trent Richardson, will also not make the trip to Knoxville that he had been contemplating, although it appears it was as much about distance from home as it was about pleasing Saban.
It will be interesting to see how much influence Saban has over linebacker Tana Patrick from Stevenson, Ala., who is scheduled to visit UT next weekend

Reality - You are a poor excuse for a Dawg fan. I love the Dawgs, but am ashamed when someone like you claims to be a UGA fan and posts such ridiculous garbage as you do. UGA had many more problems than Tech regarding arrests and UGA arrests included assault, destroying property, DUI, etc. So, do not try to say that Tech had more or worse problems than UGA. Good natured ribbing is one thing, but ignorant posts such as yours sadden me. I hope that you will get a life, and not spend your time trying to tear down others. Your time would be much better spent trying to build yourself up instead. Tech fans, all Dawg fans are not like RealityYech. Congrats on the win over UGA this year. It will make for a better rivalry.

“Brian Jones” is a typical lying Yech fan. The rapist is still on the active roster for Tech. According to ESPN and their own pathetic athletic website. Nice attempt to lie “Brian,” but face it, Johnson plays rapists and drug dealers.

Hi, my name is Brian Jones. I’m 38, single, live in my mama’s basement. I love my jackets!! So what if I couldn’t even last at Georgia Perimeter College, I’m still a jacket through and through!!
I can’t stand reading facts about my precious team on my own blogs. UGA had guys drinking underage, no license, driving with their lights off. While our boys rape women, sling crack and even our poster boy Joey Hamilton is scumbag trash. We’re supposed to be only recruiting student athletes but UGA is the team that’s going to have two Valedictorians in their upcoming recruiting class. What gives?

Wow. This just in…UGAY beat Tech in arrest this year 10 -1 (see article below for verification). It should be noted that two of UGAY’s players were arrested for making inappropriate advances toward a lady 6 months pregnant.
But hey, Coach Richt gave all 10 a strongly worded lecture and let them stay on the team.
Truth and the facts hurt don’t they. Now go post on a more friendly site before you embarrass yourself anymore.
Two Georgia football players arrested Richt suspends defensive tackle Wood
By TIM TUCKER
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Sunday, October 19, 2008
Georgia defensive tackle Brandon Wood will not play against LSU this week after being arrested early Sunday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
“He made that mistake, and he’ll pay the price,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said Sunday afternoon. “He certainly won’t be playing in this ball game coming up here.”
Richt said athletics association policy requires a one-game suspension, but the coach was non-committal on whether Wood would be allowed to play against Florida on Nov. 1.
Wood was one of two Georgia football players arrested by University of Georgia police in separate incidents after Saturday’s win over Vanderbilt, according to the Athens-Clarke County jail’s booking report.
Offensive tackle Vince Vance — out for the season with a knee injury — was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and booked into the jail at 9:29 p.m. Saturday. Vance, 21, was released on a $500 bond about an hour later.
Wood, also 21, was booked into the county jail at 3:42 a.m. Sunday. In addition to DUI, he was charged with not having his headlights on. He was released at 9:16 a.m. on total bond of $1,750.
“Brandon certainly made a bad error in judgment to have alcohol in his system,” Richt said.
A red-shirt sophomore from Buchanan, Wood is not a starter for the Bulldogs but has played in all seven games as part of the rotation on the defensive line. Another defensive tackle, Kade Weston, sat out the Vanderbilt game with a sore knee but will return against LSU, Richt said.
Vance was a starter on the offensive line before injuring his knee against Tennessee on Oct. 11.
Neither Wood nor Vance was available for comment Sunday.
Their arrests brought the total number of Georgia football players arrested since January to 10.
“It’s always disappointing to hear that kind of news,” Richt said.

Degrees from VMI, GT and UGA. That equals a VMI business major, GT architect and UGA horticulture degree. What does all that mean. I played football at VMI, played coach Johnson for 4 years, he takes great football players with average athletic skills and wins games.
Having attended UGA and Tech, they both served me well. Both coaches are outstanding men. I don’t believe 95% of bloggers played college football or athletics in college. Athletics do no teach the mentality that is practiced in blogs. Both coaches and universities have tremendous respect for each other. Only the fans and students have such FANatical views and opinions. I witness where some people have little to no morals, and trade their souls for opinions.
Coach Johnons is a great coach and person. Coach Richt is a great coach and person, who I have listened to at christian conferences. I know neither of them would write such comments, why should we.

GT can’t win an ACC championship, they can’t win the coastal division, and you will never beat a quality team in a bowl game with that high school option crap. I don’t really see what you tech fans are all excited about. WOW, you beat your instate rival for the first time in 8 years. They still had a better season than you did. You just lost 3 of your 4 best players on the D, and you don’t recruit well enough to just reload. I thought GT was going to pull in some big time recruits to run that high school offense in that high school stadium ya’ll got. You are not going to win the ACC, no way you could ever win a NC, and you will always be the other program in Georgia. Can you say 20-17? LOSERS!

Even when UGA losses recruits, their coach leaves a mark on their recruits for life. Now that is mark of a good man.
Based on what Kenney said, and as a person personally, I guess the maybe of a championship is more important than who you surround yourself with for 2 years:
Kenney had nothing but praise for Georgia. “They have everything … great players and great coaches. They will be all right without me. Mark Richt, he’s a great man. There was a reason he came into my life … maybe not to be my college coach. [but] maybe to inspire me to be a better person in all aspects of my life.”

Funny that Techies get their panties in a wad and demand censorship for those that simply post FACTS about their “student athletes.”
Instead of having a hissy fit at the messenger, why don’t you contact St. Johnson and tell him rapists will not be tolerated for YOUR program? Or is winning (at least trying to) more important to you?

All of the classless a holes that are refering to the rapist, find where he was convicted of any crime. The AJC should really look in to banning certain remarks. A law suit could come out of this. No where can anyone find a guilty conviction, get the facts straight first. Ugay supporters have hit a new low, which I thought was impossible. What a bunch of trash. Realityyech you are a complete waste of air, I really hope you hit a tree and die. To no means yes, same thing to you. I hope you don’t act like a little beotch in real life when someone calls you out. I’m sure I’ll see you on here whining during GT’s mediocre season next year. With that sorry D ya’ll better score a lot of points. I bet ya’ll lose at least 4 games (VT, UVA, UNC, FSU, UM, UGA) take your pick, and if you play a team with equal or better talent in the bowl game then it will be 5. I also like the way you losers are always bashing UGA. Beating them was the only reason anyone even talked about your sorry program. It was followed up nicely with that embarrassing beat down by a down LSU team. You are and always will be a second rate program. Oh, before I forget 20-17.
