TE Orson Charles has serious talks with Georgia assistant

How did tight end Orson Charles of Tampa, Fla., spend his MLK holiday?
Most of it was spent with UGA assistant John Lilly, who coaches tight ends for the Bulldogs. They met for around six hours on Monday.
The 6-foot-4 Charles finished up basketball practice at 1 p.m., and then had a “serious” conversation with Lilly. UGA covets Charles, who will be making an official visit to Athens this weekend.
“We talked about my future, some deep stuff,” Charles said. “One of the biggest things he emphasized was separating truth from fiction in recruiting. He just gave me some suggestions for things to look at when making a college decision, and I really can’t go anymore into it than that.”
Charles said his finalists are Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Miami and Southern Cal.

This guy is all DAWG. REMEMBER, he transferred to play at Plant HS with Aaron Murray. He will be in Red and Black.

Well, he seems to not be so sure about what colors he wants to wear as jablonski thinks he is. Otherwise, his finalist would be Georgia, and no one else.
If he’s all DAWG, why all this drama? What am I missing? Looks like we’ve got a good shot at him, but I don’t see how it’s a done deal. He’s obviously having some difficulty deciding.
Bottom line: we’ll know where he’s going when the letter of intent is signed, sealed and delivered.

Charles—he’ll end up at UGA. The dawgs use the tight end in the offense, UF does not, except on option plays.

Im no gator fan, but OC called Randy Shannon to distance himself from his head coach that said he will never have a player go to Miami. I think bc Miami is his dream school and we have no TE’s that are Fr or So he will come.

He is likely to be a poodle. Will join a pantheon of prospects who sign with UGA and then pray every night that they get one win against the Gators during their career so they are not like Eric Zeier and go 0-4.
