Miami flirts with McEachern TE Terrell Mitchell

McEachern tight end Terrell Mitchell, who has sparked interest from UGA, said he got a call out of the blue from Miami.

“I wasn’t expecting it,” Mitchell said. “They [Miami] had seen my film, they said they liked it a lot, and that they were coming to see me in person.”

The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Mitchell said Miami did not offer, but discussed setting up an official visit. Mitchell is scheduled to take recruiting trips to Michigan this weekend and UGA on Jan. 30.

Could Mitchell commit to Michigan this weekend? “I don’t think so. I’ve just taken one official visit [Kentucky]. I’d like to take at least a couple of more before committing.”

If Miami offered, would Mitchell consider taking it? “Now that would be tempting. I’m not sure. I guess I’d have to call Georgia to see where things stand with them. They [UGA] have been with me all along, so I owe them that.”

Mitchell said he has not been offered by UGA. “I have no idea if Georgia will offer me. They have hinted about it [a scholarship offer] before. But when I talk to [UGA tight ends coach John Lilly], we talk about other things.”

Yes, play in the “weak” ACC, and then enjoy your direct link to the NFL. Just look at last Sunday to see what the “U” has produced.

Nuff Said…

Better still, sign with UK, run a lower risk of being recruited over than at UGA, and STILL get to play in the SEC. We are signing not one, but TWO top shelf QB prospects this year, so one of them should be able to get you the ball.
