Several high-profile colleges plan to send coaches to Gainesville on Thursday to meet with Red Elephants junior receiver Tai-ler Jones.
Jones, who is scheduled to attend junior days at Notre Dame and Ohio State this weekend, will receive in-school visits from members of the Fighting Irish and Buckeyes’ coaching staffs.
Auburn, North Carolina and South Carolina representatives also plan to spend time on Thursday with the 6-foot, 180-pound receiver.
The Tigers’ new defensive line coach, Tracy Rocker, is expected to discuss scholarship offers with Gainesville senior defensive lineman Josh Jackson.
Jackson, who is coming off official visits to Arkansas and Toledo, had been scheduled to visit Ole Miss on Jan. 30. He will now visit Auburn on the last weekend prior to signing day on Feb. 4.
Jackson, who has been offered by Ole Miss, appears intent on following Rocker to Auburn. Rocker recently departed the Rebels’ program to accept a position on his alma mater’s coaching staff.
Gainesville junior quarterback Blake Sims received visits from South Florida and West Virginia coaches earlier today.
Teammate Xavier Ervin committed to Winston-Salem State.

I just wanted to get a few things off of my puny, prepubescent chest (mm, thinking about hairless chests always revs my enginge). Im a pathetic loser. I don’t have anything good to say about my underachieving, THuga team, so I talk trash about the best school/team in the state. Im 19 and think im so tough and smart b/c I follow recruiting. I like to give you TECHIES a hard time b/c I know that i will never get a good job with my HORTICULTURE degree. I know that I will never leave athens (like so many uga grads) and will just end up working as a bar tender b/c 83.5% of grads from uga stay in athens, and make less than $38,750 a year. Look it up.
