Florida QB ranks his Georgia Tech visit as a “10”

Dontae Aycock, a quarterback for Chamberlain High in Tampa, Fla., described his official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend a success.

“I would give it a 10 rating,” he told GoJackets.com. “It went that well.”

Aycock, whose host was Anthony Allen, had an opportunity to meet with Tech coach Paul Johnson.

“He told me that he really wanted me at Georgia Tech and how much he thinks I can add to making the team that much better in the future,” Aycock said.

“He said he was recruiting me as a quarterback and that he feels I can add a lot to the position if I came to Tech. I really liked him a lot as he made me feel wanted.”

Aycock said he plans to wait until signing day on Feb. 4 to announce his decision.

“I have two schools that I am considering, in Georgia Tech and Louisville and possibly a third in Illinois. I went to Louisville on a visit two weeks ago and I liked that visit too.

“I can’t say right now I have a leader.”

Dontae,

come to Tech where you will definitely not have the most ridiculous name. Also, keep in mind we give rings out like they’re going out of style. Even if we don’t win a single championship of any kind and get humiliated on national tv in a bowl game that’s only 2 miles from campus. Come on, you know you wanna be a winner like me.

you mutts are pathetic, hanging around waiting for every recruiting blog related to GT and putting stupid trash on the web. It is great because it really highlights the pathetic state of affairs at the UGAy and makes me feel even better about our win between the pathetic hedges.

Wow, it seems that the Dawg fans are still spilling their sour grapes about the Dawg loss on our boards. Take your pathetic ring rambling to another website. We all know what happens when the Dawgs receive rings - they end up on Ebay. Shows you how much pride the Dawgs have in their team and school.

Dear 38-3, If you are a LSU fan then maybe you should know as well as anyone that everyone has a bad game now ang again, such as 5 times during the season for you. If you are a UGAy fan, then i say 45 - 42, and oops, i think GT, Bama, and Florida just scored again, so go back into your cave and hide.

Engineer from VMI, architect from GT, horticulture degree from Georgia..three degrees. Played division 1 football. Nobody here played college football. Tech is a great school, so is Georgia. Academically each school offers programs the other can’t compete with, I happened to use both schools.

It is great for the state of Georgia that both programs have winning seasons and great coaches. The talent can stay home and choose a school based on post graduate aspirations. Misconception that GT is better than UGA academically, and that a GT alumni is not as well rounded outside of their degree.

I played against Paul Johnson in college, he can take any college program and win championships. With or without top talent, he can win. Coach Richt, great person, family man, christian and coach.

Both of these institutions and men hold each other in high regard. Most fans and students create an atmosphere & attitude that does not reflect the views of the institution or their coaches.

Only three really good teams had what it took to beat UGA. Florida, Alabama, and Georgia Tech. Of the three, Tech had 409’ yards rushing and beat them at home; on senior day, and Vince Dooley Day, and Laryy Munson day; in the cold, cold rain.

GA is a much better team than Tech, which is why they yielded 45 points and 409’ on the ground and lost at home. Just ask anybody in Athens; village of drunk students.

While UGA had 488 yards against Tech’s “stellar” defense? Nerds just don’t get it. You beat a depleted, banged up UGA team with one of their worst defenses in program history by a mere 3 points. Thanks to a Stafford’s pick 6. Tech fans are trying to desperately convince themselves that UGA’s D will continue to get worse each season, but in their hearts they know this isn’t the case and will not happen.

Still down 22 games overall terds! But hey, at least you got rings!!! LOL!!!

VMI,I have a hard time swallowing your stated credentials but I guess it’s not impossible. I believe you meant to state that each school offers programs that the other does not. Surely you don’t draw your conclusion from comparing a Horticulture Degree from GA with an Architecture Degree from Tech, do you? If so I think you might be losing credibility.

REDNECKS, GET A CLUE!! The rings were given for the season!!!!!!!!! not for the ugay game where you guys stunk up the joint in the second half. love how you morons turn sh* around. Get your facts right, if you bother to read, you would already now that. keep putting your rings of accomplishments up on ebay, to eat a meal, buy some porn, get that beer run on redneck night in that dump you guys call athens. what a bunch of losers, who PUTS THEIR RINGS UP ON EBAY TO GET MONEY?? ONLY UGAY PLAYERS WOULD DISGRACE THEIR PROGRAM WITH NO REMORSE! PATHETIC! If i were a ugay fan, i wouldn’t mention the word ring unless i was willing to talk about your ebay achievement!! Lets see, gt has 4 national championships to your 1! we have won the most recent in 1990. we have 4 coaches in the ncaa hall of fame, the heisman trophy is named in honor of our program & coaching icon {john heisman}, we are the ncaa record holder for most points in a single game {222-0 without a pass attempt over cumberland}. are you rednecks in the ncaa books for anything? any coach that has a prestigious award named after them?? these teams lineup to win national championships on saturday’s! I believe history says gt 4 / ugay 1 …. run your d**suckers when you actually have the national championship rings that we have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we won more sec titles than ugay when we played in the sec with you clowns! ugay, you will never measure up to our history, you can have the series, i will take the national titles and 15 conference titles we also have as well as a program! you guys own the longest losing streak at 8!!! enjoy it, it will always stand!

DUMBAZZ JB GET A CLUE!! Quality programs don’t give out rings to commemorate 9-4 seasons. Duhhhhhh!! Why didn’t they just tatoo LOSER on their forheads? And by the way moron. At least there was a market for a championship ring on ebay. Try selling one of those I’m a loser rings and see what happens. And I’m so truly glad that you have all those leather helmet days memories to fall back on. Since Bobby Dodd retired you losers haven’t even been a blip on the radar screen of big time college football. And yes we know you won 1/2 of an NC awarded by a news service that no longer exists. But a halfazz NC is very appropriate for a halfazz wannabee program like the trade school. GT will never be more than the pimple on the butt of real bigtime football teams. And speaking of d**suckers. A topic that you know plenty about I am sure, maybe you can run yours with more credibility when you can beat your instate rival more than once a decade. Until then you are nothing more than a foaming at the mouth idiot providing comedic entertainment for the fans of real football programs. And in parting…38-3. Have a nice day JB.

For the last two weeks, the dumbdogs continually refer to the score between GT and LSU. I must have missed something. Did saint Richt coach the LSU team in that game? Did any of the dog players ploay in that game? I was at that game, and I didn’t notice anything associated with uga. Oh, I think I get it…somehow, the dumbdogs seem to think because GT lost in bowl game against LSU it takes away the embarrassment of LOSING at home, after piling up a big half time lead against GT. Sorry, guys; truth is you still lost to GT, and how GT did against anybody else in a bowl game doesn’t elevate your team at all.

Drop by the Edge Center and take a look at the crystal football GT received for winning their half of the NC. Take a picture of it if you wish because you will never see one in Athens. Did Tech or did Tech not win a split NC in 1990. The question is very simple guys. Shouldn’t take a calculator to answer that one. And since winning a NC is such a touch and go, not to mention political, event with the polls and computers and such, why don’t we just get a little more basic. Other than the 1/2 NC of 1990, just how many titles of any kind has Tech won since Bobby Dodd retired? Want to go there?

Your secondary sucked all year and doesn’t have the across the board talent to get much better. Morgan Burnett can’t play every position. Your recruiting, well, leaves much to be desired. Tech isn’t going to achieve at the level of this year again anytime soon even with PJ. Who I might add has never been known for stellar defenses. 38-3 gasbags. Now that an LSU fan is saying it do you feel a little better about that butt kicking. As for UGA, maybe you should beat them more than once a decade before braying like a herd of jackass$s. GT isn’t exactly known as anything more than the L in the W-L column most of their opponents and the rest of the college football world. I wonder how many folks have even heard of GT outside of Atlanta anyway. You’re second rate. When you beat UGA it is kinda like that blind squirrel finding the nut isn’t it. Or are you that tree that falls in the forest and nobody hears it or cares about it. But hey! You got a long way to go to be as good as UGA and Paul Johnson isn’t going to be around long enough to do anything about that. And I doubt if he can anyway. I was at the Chick Fil A Bowl and I have never seen such poor behavior from fans of any school as I saw from some of the Tech fans. The profanity was horrible and one drunk Tech fan’s wife actually poured a beer on him after asking him to stop the profanity in front of several kids. He tried to punch her but was restrained by someone in their group. He was eventually escorted out by security cussing everything and everybody in his path. And this was just one of the profanity laced tirades I witnessed. Games at LSU can be rowdy events, but this one was unbelievable. Tech fans are awful.

When did real football fans stop posting on the AJC blogs and let their fowl-mouthed 12-year old children start posting for them. It’s sad on both sides.

DDT, in case you didn’t know, 1990 was the year of the infamous “5th Down” whereby CU won late in the 4th quarter after what should have been a turnover on loss of downs. Further, the Rocket returned a punt for a TD with 1:18 to go but got called back by one of the worst calls in CFB history for a bogus clipping call that was 10 yards behind the play. Not even Deion Sanders could catch up to the Rocket from 10 yards behind. Finally, Tech was the only undefeated team that year. CU had a loss. All those put together equals GT National Championship, shared or not.
