Does M.L. King’s Kight still have an offer from Georgia Tech?

Rumors continue to swirl that Georgia Tech has withdrawn M.L. King running back/defensive back Joel Kight’s scholarship offer.
Kight took an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend. He’s considering offers from Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss.
M.L. King coach Corey Jarvis told the AJC, to the best of his knowledge, Tech’s offer is still on the table.
“When we talked to [Tech assistant] coach B.J. [Brian Jean-Mary] on Tuesday or Wednesday, he said they’d give him the chance to go to Ole Miss,” Jarvis said on Sunday evening.
Kight has confirmed to the AJC that he will consult with his family prior to making a decision.

We love to have this young man as a Jacket. I’ve seen him play twice last year. He does have true talent. “Go Jackets!”

Tech is not pulling their offer until Kight makes his decision which should be this week.

How is one message board poster asking questions about whether we may pull a scholarship…amongst the hundreds of posters out there…considered “rumors are swirling”? Good grief…GT loves Kight…and loves the MLK High program. We will wait for Kight to make his decision. Good luck to the young man…and congrats to his high school coach for continuing to put up with insane lines of questioning.

Tell us about the newest Jacket, Lance Richardson, a 6’2” 185 lb saftey from South Carolina. Sounds like a sleeper find.

Sounds like all systems are on go. He will make up his mind very soon and then we will all know. I must believe that GT really wants and really likes this player. Also believe he likes GT.

Joel doesn’t strike me as the kind of young man that wants to play for CrackerJack rings and get humiliated in the hometown bowl on national tv. I doubt he gets very excited about playing the mighty Samfords and Gardner Webbs of the world. Joel knows the ACC is the bottom feeder of the BCS and the SEC is where the big boys play.
