Cartersville WR Morgan Alexander says N.C. State “reminds him of home”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Cartersville’s Morgan Alexander said he found the state capital of North Carolina a lot like his hometown, and that’s why he verbally committed to North Carolina State.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Alexander, who is expected to play slot receiver and return kicks for the Wolfpack, committed to N.C. State after an official visit to Raleigh a month ago.
“It felt like home, felt just like it was Cartersville,” he said, realizing that Raleigh, with a population of nearly 400,000, is 25 times larger than Cartersville. “It’s a community that really gets behind the school and the football team, like Cartersville. The coaching staff is great, too, [like Cartersville].
“When I went up there, something just told me this was the place to be.”
The commitment came after Alexander made an official visit to Louisville and came away from that trip leaning heavily toward the Cardinals.
Still, Alexander has official visits planned at the end of the month to Middle Tennessee State and Troy “just in case something doesn’t work out [with N.C. State].”
