Starr’s Mill’s Roberts picks Middle Tennessee
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Starr’s Mill linebacker Stephen Roberts Jr. had a family connection to Middle Tennessee. His father, Stephen Sr., is acquaintances with a Blue Raiders assistant coach.
But Roberts said the main reason he committed to Middle Tennessee and turned down a visit to Indiana of the Big 10 is because he doesn’t want to be that far away from home.
“I wanted to do what was best for me and my family,” said Stephen Jr. “This was what was best.”
Roberts said he wasn’t interested in Middle Tennessee until the school began recruiting him, and when he took his visit to the Murfreesboro, Tenn., school he liked what he saw.
He doesn’t have other visits planned, and cancelled a scheduled visit to Indiana.
