Carver DB Darren Myles eliminates Georgia Tech from consideration
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Carver-Atlanta safety Darren Myles, one of the state’s top uncommitted prospects, said he is no longer considering Georgia Tech.
“I don’t want to be that close to home,” the 6-foot-1, 175-pound senior said. After a December meeting with Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson, Myles told the AJC he would schedule an official visit with Tech sometime in January.
“I’m going to see what other schools have to offer,” he said.
Myles returned from an official visit to Alabama this weekend. He denied rumors that he was leaning heavily toward the Crimson Tide over LSU.
“It went well,” he said. “I didn’t commit, but I got to meet coach [Nick] Saban and he told me they were willing to wait on my decision.”
With dozens of offers, Myles said he will wait until Signing Day before making a decision. He has taken official visits to Alabama, LSU and Purdue. He has an official visit scheduled for Ohio State next weekend.

Well, the Dawg coaches and local Dawg fans can only keep us off the good HS recruits so long. Once we beat Richt’s butt a few times, those, “Hey, if you don’t want to go to us, just PLEASE, PLEASE don’t go to TECH- go to the SEC,” appeals won’t hold water.
Joe Dawg fan- “Hey, lil Bro, you should go to South Carolina and play for Spurrier. Tech sux. Man, just please, please don’t go to Tech.”

As though it wasn’t already obvious after the worst Chick-fil-a Bowl in history, but it looks like the Johnson ship is sinking really fast. So much for anybody wanting to participate in his triple option. I thought it was all the rage? Lol! What a joke!!!

So when you say “Johnson’s style of players”, that applies to the Defensive side of the ball as well? You don’t want studs over there either, huh?

Wow, I never know those fans of the puppies from Athens can be so bitter. They cannot stand getting beat in their own house so they bring up the LSU score, Johnson is sinking (after one bad game nonetheless, I guess ole Richt already sank after the whippin by Bama and UF this year), and calling Jackets “Phaggots”? Come on people. Listen to the great philosopher John Lennon when he said “all we need is love”!

Good luck to him at Bama. LSwho is going to have a lot of fun recruiting in a few years when the discover half the talent moved to either houston or atlanta. hey, one day lswho will crack the third tier of us news schools.
Meanwhile, just to cross promote, you can see my 3rd personality (the one that kinda knows how to read) on the celebrity apprentice show!

The Yellow Jackets put more points on UGA in one half than the mighty Tide. So unless you want to here more about The Tide and Gators. I think you should let a meaningless bowl game go. 45-42 THWG State Champions, Georgia Tech Now that counts.

So since one kid is leaning towards other schools this means the Johnson ship is sinking? Yeah, you wish. Good luck to you Mr. Myles.

Darren will be wearing ORANGE in Knoxville next year and playing next to Eric Berry and playing for a defensive genius called Monte Kiffin!!! GO VOLS!!! You Dawgs can get back to licking your balls like a good puppy and hoping you get to smell the SEC championship game in the next 5 years!

This is hilarious! For years, the same tech fans making snide remarks and hiding behind Florida’s skirt are now complaining that people are bringing up the LSU score. Hypocrisy, thy name is tech.

Imagine that! I thought after that landmark, 9 win, ring producing season that recruits would just be knocking down the doors to play at Tech. Yep. Ole PJ is impressing the hell out of em it seems. Smar ole Tech. Same ole position in the football universe. Perenial hind t** suckers in the state of Georgia.

Getting a ring for beating Georgia. LMAO!!! I still cant get over that. I would be embarresed if Georgia issued rings last year for beating Florida. We cant even talk about it that much until we can beat them at least a couple of times. As proud as Tech fans are you would have thought it was a trend or something. Rings, what a JOKE! at least act like you have done it before.

67-62 feels good, too. Dang, we aint lost in anything this whole school year. Even you idiot pups can figure out that means ZERO wins for the gay doggies.
Yall should be used to second class in this state. Now, super size my value meal.
Oh yeah, 45-42.

Myles, not wanted at UGA, now GT. Maybe GSU in STATESBORO will take him.Tech please act like you been there! The irony to all of this is it may take a DAWG QB to help your Greatest receiver get a win in DETROIT! Ain’t Life A B#$th !

Kevin, once again for the dumb and retarted, the rings were to commemerate the 2008 season as a whole. It just so happens that one of the etchings on the ring is the score of the UGA GT game, along with other items througout the season. These were gifts by the folks for the CFA bowl.

Dawg fans are always right. Even when presented with the facts. I guess Johnson won’t win another game at Tech. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Maybe he’ll just resign and go back to Navy. But actually, even if Tech beat UGA 10 years in a row, it still wouldn’t be any more fun than winning this year between the kudzu vines. Where can I get a ring ?

kevin, you should be “embarresed” at your lack of a grasp on OUR language. Big Mike, Calvin had a few wins in Detroit in ‘07. Don’t be so sure Zeier…I mean Stafford will be the first pick. Oh…and “ain’t life a “B#$th”. What is that? birth?

Well, numbers don’t lie. Not all college football players make it to the NFL. So, look at life without football when making a decision. Just ask any former GT football player about his current job and he will tell you about how the Alumni looked out for him at a well-respected company. My 2 friends from UGA, both darn good WRs from 5 yrs ago, aren’t even working and decided not to finish school.

No, the dumb and retarded get rings to commemerate a freakin 9 win season. To kneejerk, I got something for you to come over here and jerk on and it isnt my language. Rings for winning 9 games LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Georgia does that every year. I thought they gave away rings when you actually won something like an ACC Championship (which you guys are miles away from)

If 45-42 makes GT state champs, then I guess Ol Miss is the National champs. If Florida is the actual national champs (better record higher ranking) then I guess UGA is still state champs (8 years running). did yall see that UGA finished in the top 10 again?
