Douglas LB finished switching between Alabama and Auburn

Douglass linebacker Jonathan Atchison cancelled his official visit to Auburn this weekend.

“I’m solid to Alabama,” the 6-foot-3, 212-pound Atchison said.

Atchison switched his commitment to Alabama from Auburn after the resignation of Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville. Atchison made the change after having a lengthy conversation with Alabama coach Nick Saban.

He was going to make an official visit to Auburn this weekend, but said he will only take his official visit to Alabama next weekend.

When asked if new Auburn coach Gene Chizik contacted him to see if he was still going to take his visit, Atchison replied, “Not that I know.”

Rivals.com ranks Atchison as the 24th best outside linebacker in the country.

Roll Tide! Great news! We might not get many out of GA but this is an important one for us. Especially important considering he picked Auburn first.

I really just want to control the state of Alabama but a high quality player here and there from GA and Florida is welcome. Looking at Florida we all might want to snag a few from them if anyone is going to break up the dynasty they’re building.

Jonathan -Take a look at AU again! You committed to Tuberville -yes. But, now that change has happened, you can be on the ground floor of an NC caliber team. Don’t listen to Saban’s lies. AU is the place to be. Just take a look at the staff; Saban cannot get staff like we’ve assembled (they come to get “Saban” on their resume and then they leave, just ask Kevin Steele). Chizik & Roof are top DC talents you will thrive under.
