Tucker’s Calhoun enrolls early at LSU

Tucker running back Drayton Calhoun left for Louisiana State this week to enroll early. Classes start Monday.
“I fell pretty good about everything,” said Calhoun, an all-state selection in Class AAAA by the AJC. “Now I just got to go out and work hard on the field and in the classroom.”
Calhoun plans to major in kinesiology.
Calhoun rushed for 1,211 yards and 12 touchdowns for Tucker during its run to the Class AAAA state championship. He averaged 7.3 yards per carry. The 6-foot, 173-pounder runs a 4.32 40.

Good luck Drayton. Thanks for all of your contributions at Tucker, both on the field, as well as off the field. I’m sure your classmates will miss you this Spring, but it sounds like you have a plan. We’ll be looking for you on TV in 2010. Take advantage of the Redshirt if you can…It’s all about the degree.
