Centennial DE Cummings to attend UGA practice

Fresh off an official visit to Georgia Tech, Centennial defensive end Euclid Cummings plans to take a trip to Athens later this week.

“He’s going to go to bowl practice at Georgia on Thursday,” Centennial coach Jeff Measor said. “I think Georgia has mild interest in Euclid.”

But unless the Dogs come up with a last-minute scholarship offer, Cummings has apparently narrowed the list of schools he is considering to a pair of ACC programs.

“Euclid said it will be between Tech and North Carolina,” Measor said. “He’ll take an official visit to North Carolina on Jan. 9. I know Georgia Tech and North Carolina both really want him to commit.”

Hey, Jeff. Why don’t you just tell the young man that Georgia really doesn’t want him and he really should go to Tech? Or, on the other hand, you could be fair and balanced and let him make up his own mind!

Hey, Uga thinks he isn’t good enough but the superior coach and team in the state thinks he’ll be a great fit for a coming dynasty. Hey Euclid, come to Tech and beat those pesky puppies. Paul Johnson is starting something special, be a part of it baby! Hope to see you in the white and gold, because you can follow in a long line of great TECH DE/LB.

Tech wins one game over Georgia, by 3 points and all of a sudden they are the superior team? What an effing joke!

Let’s just get ready for LSU! Screw the puppies……. We will see them next year at our house, where we make it 2 for 2……..

First, Tech will have to beat LSU who is not even a ranked team in fact BCS Number 40 team at the Peach Bowl, not even a New Year’s Day Bowl Game.

And, Tech will have to have Georgia not beat Number 18 Michigan State in the CapitalOne New Year’s Day Bowl in Orlando while Tech loses, or else Tech will not end up ranked ahead of UGA.

It’ has been 8 consecutive years and counting that Tech has not been ranked ahead of UGA in the Final AP Poll.

I would not act so smug about how great Tech is playing in that weak DOES NOT DESERVE A BCS BOWL BID, conference. And, Tech has not played in a better bowl game than UGA this entire millennium. You are not, again, this year, either.

By the way, Euclid Cummings is NOT a Defensive End at 228 lbs. but a linebacker. Get a grip a 228 lbs. football player is going to play Defensive End in The SEC.

I would not bet on that just yet. You have to beat BCS Number 40 LSU the night before New Year’s Day’s Bowls and hope we lose to Number 18 Michigan State on New Year’s Day in Orlando Florida while you languish in Atlanta 1 whole exit away in the Peach Bowl.

Dawgs enjoy your trip to the Tangerine Bowl, it is more than you deserve.

Mr Cummings, obviously the pups don’t want you, GT does. Go where you will be appreciated. Nuff said.

These are really funny exchanges to us outside of Georgia. We saw Georgia absolutely crippled by injuries and Tech winning by a field goal. Georgia gave Tech 2 TD’s by turnovers and now Tech thinks they are an elite team. IMHO they still have a long way to go, and I will be shocked if they can make it 2 for 2 as they state above.

Football Guy

It’s been so long since Tech beat Georgia that they don’t care how or why they won. One win in 8 years doesn’t make a rivalry. Personally, I wish we got Tech off our schedule so we could play a Big Ten team like Penn St., Mich. or Ohio St. I think it would be better for our program.

… Football Guy

Do you mean those outside of the state that only know one team? UGA crippled by injuries? You would be hard pressed to find a team with more than GT at this point of the seaons.

Against UGA, GT was missing their starting FS, starting CB, starting All-ACC DT, THREE starting LB’s….on offense starting LT, starting RT, starting C playing with a recurring dislocated shoulder, QB playing with two sprained ankles and a tight hamstring, and Dwyer with a bruised knee.

To top it off…we are much much younger than UGA. We only started 3 juniors and 3 seniors against them.

Excuses Excuses Excuses

GaTech 45 Georgia 42

…and for those with math difficulties…45 is more points than 42!

We dog fans understand that you guys are estatic about your little victory over us this year. My little brother gets equally happy when he beats me on Madden once in every 8 tries. Only a team or person that is not use to winning will be this happy! To us it’s normal to beat you guys every year so it’s no big deal when we win. You guys are not a rivalry, you are just the last team we play on our schedule each year.

It’s so obvious by all the talk from the Uga fans on here that you’re SCARED about what’s to come in the next few years. BuLLdawg is so scared that he’s talking about Uga being ranked higher at the end of the season that Tech. I guess he forgot that TECH BEAT uga IN ATHENS. What’s your excuse for that? If a Tech fan wrote something like that in past years he’d be the first one to jump all over it. BuLLdawg, we beat you on your home field. We kicked your a* in the second half, 33-14, and when it mattered the most Tech ran the ball down your throats to run out the clock and win the game…ON YOUR HOME FIELD.

And Football Guy, mr. outsider, Uga didn’t GIVE Tech any touchdowns. Tech made those plays. We intercepted the “invinsible” Stafford and took it to the house, and we caused the fumble that we recovered and scored a touchdown running the ball right up the middle on the next play. That’s all part of the game. If uga had made those plays and caused us to fumble I guess you’d say those were great defensive plays. By the way, we didn’t fumble the ball once on an ugly rainy day with us pitching the ball all over the place. That’s called execution.

Got any other idiotic excuses, uga fans? No matter what happens in the bowl games just remember, we beat you in your stadium in front of 80,000 of your screaming fans when you had two weeks to prepare. I rest my case…45-42!!!

And hiveredtech, how about the great All Americans like George Morris, Larry Morris, Maxie Baughan, Paul Duke, Smylie Gebhardt, and Don Stephenson, not to even mention all of the all-conference ones. Tech will compare well in this regard to any school in the country, including Penn State and Ohio State.

hiveredtech,

you are wrong in every aspect of your post. uga is much much younger than gt and uga has had a lot more injuries at this point in the season. for starters uga has had 19 season ending injuries. thats one less than 20 for you tech fans that have trouble with numbers.

uga fans, you better save some of these excuses you’re using for next year’s loss. you’ll have a whole new set by then i guess. stafford left so we had a new QB, our waterboy was injured, we lost our assistant coaches to Auburn, four of our best players don’t get out of prison until after christmas. those are a few suggestions for next year. write them down and post them next to the list of 5-star recruits you sign and compare the two after next year’s independence bowl loss to Rice.

JacketSteve, before you make such bold predictions, make sure to swallow your medicine.

Overall series: 59-37-5 to UGA

Sorry that Tech are losers when they go up against UGA. It must have sucked all these years, always being behind in the series. But I guess one win has now made you flip the series…oh wait, you guys are still losers.

GT: “Has, and always will be, the little brother football program in the state of Georgia”

Football Guy,

Yech fans are a hoot, aren’t they? The most fairweather, bandwagon group of losers you’ll ever encounter in your life!! LOL!!

UGA had their worst Defense in years, Tech had their best Offense in decades, UGA even spots them 14 and yet the tools can still only squeak by 3. Nevermind the fact they’re also 20 games behind in the overall head-to-head, but the tools all now think they’re going to avg. 1,000 yards a game next year and beat UGA for the next 15 straight. All the while not having a clue that they’re losing 3 of the best defensive players they’ve had in years, LOL!!!

UGA fans know more about Yech football than even they do, LOL!!!

In the words of BTO..”You ain’t seen nothin’ yet!”

You will look back on 2008 favorably and say….”That was the year we held the fledgling GT offense to only 45 points….those were the days.”

Momentum….GTech.
