M.L. King coach thinks Tech will offer Kight

M.L. King coach Corey Jarvis believes it’s simply a matter of time before senior linebacker, Joel Kight, receives a scholarship offer from Tech.
Kight, who is considering offers from Boston College, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss, is scheduled to take an official visit to Tech on Dec. 19. He’s headed to Oklahoma State for an official visit this weekend.
“[Tech is] really leaning toward offering him,” Jarvis said. “When he goes [to Tech] next weekend, I think they will offer. That’s based on me talking to [Tech assistant] coaches [Brian] Jean-Mary and [Brian] Bohannon.”
Jarvis thinks Kight’s versatility actually delayed Tech’s decision to offer him. “I think the biggest drawback is that Joel can play linebacker or running back on that level,” Jarvis said. “And they’ve been trying to decide. I think he’ll probably end up being a running back for them.”
Kight’s junior teammate, running back Mack Brown, received an offer from the Jackets on Monday.

The Jackets will host 11 recruits on official visits this weekend. Nine players who have committed, plus prospects Euclid Cummings of Centennial and Courtney Dalcourt of Franklin-Simpson (Ky.) High, are scheduled to be on campus beginning Friday.
