Flowery Branch defensive end Izaan Cross will take an official visit to Georgia Tech on the weekend of Dec. 19.
Cross, who is prepping for the Falcons’ Class AAA state championship game against Cairo on Saturday, has received several in-home visits over the past two weeks.
“N.C. State, Clemson and Central Florida [coaches] have come over to the house,” said Cross, who will visit Clemson on Jan. 9. “And Maryland, Arkansas and North Carolina will be coming soon.
“And, of course, Georgia Tech will be coming. I saw them at the school on Friday. And they went to our game [against LaGrange] on Friday. I’ve been seeing a lot of them.”
Cross plans to take five official visits prior to national signing day in February.
His front-runners are Clemson, North Carolina and Tech. But he hasn’t ruled out other programs which are making a late push for him.
“I’m still open and will hear them out,” he said. “I’ll hear what they have to say and evaluate between those schools.”
