Ohio State offers Gainesville junior WR Jones

Following recent offers from Miami, North Carolina and Ohio State, Gainesville junior receiver Tailer Jones has seen his scholarship count climb into double-digits.

The player Gainesville assistant coach Todd Wofford labeled the “best receiver in Class AAA” was offered by the Buckeyes on Monday.

“Ohio State is a great school,” Jones said. “They compete for the national title every year.”

Jones will be busy in early 2009 attending several junior days.

“I’ve been invited to junior day at LSU, Florida State, Miami and Georgia Tech,” he said.

Coaches from Arkansas, Indiana, Maryland and Miami have visited him over the past week.

“And a coach from Ohio State will be coming here shortly,” Jones said.

They will have to start getting more southern kids to win. Everyone has saw what the northern athletes can do. Seriously, their athletes can’t compare to our boys here in the South!
