Valdosta’s Foster to visit Georgia Tech on Dec. 13

Valdosta offensive lineman Antonio Foster, who de-commited from Tennessee to Georgia Tech, will visit the Tech campus on Dec. 13.

Foster, who has several family members in the Atlanta area, said once he de-commited from the Vols, jumping in with Georgia Tech made the most sense.

“They were still recruiting me the whole time,” Foster said. “I started thinking that it might be good for me to stay in state. And I have a lot of people on my mom’s side of the family who live in DeKalb County, so I come to Atlanta a lot anyway.”

Foster said he was ecstatic about the Jacket’s victory against Georgia and was at Bobby Dodd Stadium to witness Tech’s blowout of Miami two weeks ago. He said he is intrigued about lining up in Paul Johnson’s triple-option offense.

“It will take a little time to get used to it, but I think it will be a good fit for me,” Foster said. “I’m excited about it.”

Given the apparent trend shift in the UGA v GT domination, the coming of Lane f’n Kiffen to Tennessee, I forsee GT the big winner in Georgia signings.

Richt is staying with his current staff, Paul Johnson will always be smarter than the collection of good old boy coaches at UGA. I look to see GT dominate UGA for several years to come.

If UGA, with Stafford and Don’tKnowshon, couldn’t beat CPJ’s initial players, they will never beat CPJ once he hets his selections to execute the Triple Option in place.

UGA, it is time to drop back and punt.

Your next QB and RB’s will be less than what CPJ already beat, you guys have a problem, there is damnation in your dog nation.

Paul Johnson is a cut above anything you ever tried to outsmart!

I watched Foster his whole career at Valdosta. He is good, but I stil don’t think the kid is D1 talent. He looked like a D1-AA or D11 player to me. Big, soft and little slow - and don’t ask him to pass block or he will hurt your offense bad. Go VIKINGS!! Lowndes rules Titletown USA!

LOL. One win is a “trend shift”? A trend shift would be Tech winning the next 6. Good luck.

Huh? Can’t even spell “hunh”! typical uga. And you sound a little defensive. uga losing 28 seniors and their best two players..Tech youngest team in the nation bringing back the whole offense that put up 45 on you completing one pass. yeah, that’s a “trend shift”!

There is always a couple of dillusional fans in every fan base. We have our share here at GT. Michael is indeed hitting the pipe a little too hard.

We are now not only beating GA on the field but in recruiting also. The future looks bright for Tech athletics. GA will never come back from our beating them. The domination begins. If GA can get some of their players out of jail maybe they will be able to compete next yerar. Come to Tech and get an education and play for championships. No live Paul Johnson.

GT had a great win and CPJ is a very good coach. UGA has a huge built in recruiting advantage over Tech because of academics.

Tech does not offer enough variety in it’s majors and it has harder admissions qualifications. Save all the basket weaving jokes.

If you watched the game though, you saw UGA receivers running wild. Tech needs some better corners in a hurry.

If Stafford leaves, they will be breaking in a rookie QB. Moreno is gone. UF is still going to beat them and if Bama is on the schedule again lookout.

In the end though GT will be much more competitive and UGA won’t dominate them as long as CPJ is around.

Does it really matter who Georgia recruits. They have had a shot at the best they could find and like a Bermuda triangle they go over there and just disappear.

The fat lady is singing at GA, it is over.

The only way of Martinez to go is Ritch has to go also. I hope they both stay for years.

I have never seen a team so unable to make adjustments during a game. Please keep Martinez forever.

I think Hurricane in GA is correct. I love GT but our corners were not good this year. I know they are young (One true freshman and one red shirt freshman against UGA) but they have got to get better. You can watch Morgan Burnett trying to be everywhere at once to help them out. I’m worried about the Defensive front and the DB’s. I think we are okay at linebacker.

Going forward I think we have a series with UGA. I just don’t see either team running off 6 or 7 wins straight again.

There are no absolutes in College Football. Therefore:

Tech will not win every game for the rest of eternity; UGA is not the best team in the history of all sports; our corners aren’t horrible.

We had a 2-star freshman who had to play because our 4-star redshirt freshman decided to get in trouble with the law. Maybe we shouldn’t make as much fun of UGA criminals as we do. Of course, for every one of our “serious” arrests, they have about 5 or 6 petty arrests.

Prediction: Richt will be out at UGA after/during 2010.
