When Northview junior Denzel McCoy attended Georgia Tech’s game against visiting Miami last month, he already had a scholarship offer from the Yellow Jackets.
Now he has one from the Hurricanes, too, in addition to offers from LSU, Florida State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Oregon.
Miami’s offer to the 6-foot-5, 270-pound tackle brought his total offers to about 20, but McCoy said he does not plan to start narrowing down schools until spring.
“I’m glad to have another option, and I’d like to see what [Miami has] not only athletically, but academically as well,” he said. “I see making a decision some time around spring, so then I can stay focused on my senior season.”

This kid is a man child, I have seen him play since he was a freshmen. Along with his athletic skills, he is a good kid. He will be a great addition to any program.
