Tennessee recruit Toney Williams returns from Kentucky visit

Milton fullback Toney Williams finds himself just looking to have a good time when he’s visiting a school. And that’s exactly what the Tennessee commitment found in Lexington, Ky.

“They’re just really down to earth people,” said Williams, who is verbally committed to the Vols. “I had a great time. It was fun. It’s a program on the rise. It’s would be cool to be a part of that.”

Williams has meet with new UT coach Lane Kiffin and liked the prospects of being in a pro-style offense. But the Eagles senior wanted to give UK offensive coordinator Joker Phillips and the Wildcats a chance on an official visit this past weekend.

“I went to a basketball game and really got to get a feel for the town,” Williams said. “It’s a nice place. In the end, I’m just going to let my heart tell me where to go. I’m just going up there [to Knoxville] and try to have a good time.”

Williams will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., this weekend for his official visit with the Vols.
