M.L. King LB Joel Kight schedules official visit with Georgia Tech

M.L. King linebacker Joel Kight has two official visits scheduled in the next two weeks, including one to Georgia Tech.

Kight said in a text message Sunday that he’ll visit Oklahoma State this weekend, his second official visit. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound visited Boston College last month and came away impressed.

He said he’ll visit with Tech the following weekend, even though Tech has yet to make an offer.

He’s also expected to eventually visit Ole Miss, but that date has not been set up.

Kight. who led MLK in tackles this season (114 in 11 games), also has offers from Connecticut, Duke, Miami-Ohio, Indiana and Arizona State, but has listed Boston College, Ole Miss and Oklahoma State as his leaders.

Joel is a fine young man. It would be great to see him at Tech. It would also open up doors for more student-athletes from DeKalb. I believe there are quite a few student-athletes in DeKalb that can handle the rigors of a Tech education. There was a time that SWD sent a few athletes to Tech to play football.

Joel is a outstanding student athlete from Dekalb co,with a strong value system and a over and beyound work ethic. He has a great attitude and he has a outstanding charater which is very important to colleges and universities in this recruiting war.I believe he can play on the divison 1 level at both LB,STONG SAFTY, OR RUNNINGBACK, also he can handle the academic demands of a GA Tech or any other major university. It would be great that he recives an offer from a football program that will allow him to reach his full potential because he is a good kid.

I expecially remember Joel for his great attitude and character when he was a student in my gifted class in elementary school. I believe he has the ability to be academically successful any school that he elects to attend. I only recently found out about him being such a wonderful athlete at MLK.
