Georgia Tech expected to offer M.L. King’s Kight

M.L. King coach Corey Jarvis believes a scholarship offer will be forthcoming from Georgia Tech for his talented senior linebacker, Joel Kight.
Kight will take official visits to Oklahoma State this weekend and Georgia Tech on Dec. 19.
“They are really leaning toward offering him,” Jarvis said Monday evening. “When he goes [to Tech] next weekend, I think they will offer. That’s based on me talking to [Tech assistant] coaches [Brian] Jean-Mary and [Brian] Bohannon.”
Ironically, Jarvis thinks Kight’s ability to play on either side of the ball has contributed to a delay in an offer from the Jackets.
“I think the biggest drawback is that Joel can play linebacker or running back on that level,” Jarvis said. “And they’ve been trying to decide. I think he’ll probably end up being a running back for them.”
If Tech offers, they will join Boston College, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss are his favorites.
Kight was scheduled to host four different in-home visits on Monday. Coaches from Boston College, Oklahoma State, Tech and UAB were expected to stop by for visits throughout the afternoon and early evening.

If this is true, GT will get a quality young man and student athlete! It could also open doors to DeKalb County, given the talent pool for the area.
