McNair RB Arnold Walker commits to Alcorn State

McNair running back Arnold Walker committed to Alcorn State on Tuesday night.

“Alcorn State head coach [Ernest Jones] said I could be an impact player and a difference maker,” said Walker.

Walker said Jones told him he had already recruited one running back but he wanted to secure a second.

“I told him you got your next back, so you can continue recruiting,” he said.

The 5-foot-11, 194-pound tailback also had an offer from Alabama State, and he plans on taking an official visit to Montgomery on Jan. 9.

“I just want to see other colleges and check out the atmosphere,” he said. “If Alabama State offers, I would have to discuss it with my parents and see if it’s the right fit. But right now I’m committed to Alcorn State.”
