Georgia is considering offering a scholarship to Hargrave Military safety Jonathan Meeks.
“They like Meeks a lot; they just want to know more about him and see more film,” said Robert Prunty, coach of the prep school in Chatham, Va.
The 6-2, 180-pound Meeks is from Rock Hill, S.C., and has taken official visits to North Carolina and North Carolina State. He recently was offered by Florida.
Georgia has one commitment at safety, Early County’s Shawn Williams. The Bulldogs are also pursuing Darren Myles of Carver-Atlanta and Jawanza Starling of Tallahassee, Fla., whose cousin, Bryan Evans, currently plays at Georgia.

Tech is renowned for thugs. Jim Lavin, Mike Mooney and Kevin Salsbury beat up a small girl at the old pizza joint right across N Avenue. They were line and lB starters and Tech hushed it up with $$$ for her surgery. Ask any Tech man. Most will say that the girl hit them first. HAHAHA. This was in the Bobby Ross era, pre Olympic dorms, when the Tech Motel was still in biz. Thugs? Tech has plenty.

Dude, I was at Tech when the pizza fight occurred. I’m not saying the girl deserved a punch to the face, but she was being…how should I say…not very nice herself. To say she started it would be a true statement. To say Mooney finished it (when he shouldn’t have) would also be a true statement.
