Where does Georgia Tech stand with Ware County DE Staten?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Georgia Tech continues to express strong interest in Ware County’s Jimmy Staten, who is popping up on recruiting boards as a prospect for the Jackets.
But according to Ware County coach John Stephens, Tech hasn’t pulled the trigger on a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive end.
“To my knowledge, there is no concrete offer from Tech,” Stephens said. “But he and a junior teammate, Adrian Mack, went to their game Thursday night against Miami.
“I know that Georgia Tech pushed really hard to get him to that game Thursday night.”
A nagging injury kept slowed Staten during Ware County’s final two games.
Other schools currently targeting him are Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Troy and Western Kentucky.
“And he’s been talking to Auburn,” Stephens said.
