Westlake QB Lewis Kindle picks up first offer

It took a little while, but Westlake quarterback Lewis Kindle picked up his first scholarship offer last week from Alcorn State, the alma mater of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair.

After a solid senior season, Kindle has a number of suitors, including Troy, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee-Martin and Eastern Kentucky. But he didn’t get an official offer until the Braves called last week. Alcorn also has offered Mays two-way star Meyer Nolan.

“We’re very excited,” said Kindle’s father, Lewis Kindle Sr. “We’ll see if any other offers come in, but we’re very pleased with Alcorn State.”
