DEL.ICIO.USAJC Super 11’s Jarvis Jones undergoes season-ending surgery

Carver-Columbus linebacker Jarvis Jones, an AJC Super 11 selection and one of the nation’s top uncommitted prospects, watched his team’s playoff win over Woodward Academy from the sidelines this past weekend.
Jones broke his thumb in the first-round win over Crisp County and underwent season-ending surgery last week.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Jones has made one recruiting trip, traveling to USC. He told the AJC he will take his four remaining recruiting trips in January to Georgia, Florida, Texas, and LSU.
Jones recently made an unofficial visit to Florida, where he was heavily-courted by coach Urban Meyer. Said Jones,” [Meyer] said I was his No. 1 choice at middle linebacker.”
