South Paulding’s Ayers to attend Georgia Tech-Miami game

South Paulding junior safety Ryan Ayers has accepted an invitation to attend Thursday night’s Georgia Tech-Miami contest at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

“[Tech assistant] coach [Brian] Bohannon came over in the spring and saw some guys work out and got interested in Ryan,” South Paulding coach Tim Glanton said.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Ayers has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina and Oregon.

Ayers, who is being recruited as a cornerback, possesses exceptional speed.

“He went to Florida for their Friday Night Lights this summer, and he had the second-fastest time in the 40 [yard dash] out of 300 kids there,” Glanton said. “He’s run a 4.34.”
